SUMMARY:Field Trip: Cloudmarch Salt Marsh\, Newcastle
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a unique opportunity to visit a remarkable salt marsh that is inaccessible to the public! We will primarily focus on observing Saltmarsh and Nelson’s Sparrows\, both of which regularly breed on this marsh. However\, due to the variety of habitats that we will cover\, we expect to find a wide assortment of songbirds\, woodpeckers\, raptors\, and many others. \nDue to the sensitive nature of this ecosystem and its species\, this field trip will be capped to 10 participants divided into two groups of 5. The first group will start at 7 am and the second group will start at 9 am. Come prepared to walk approximately 1 mile on wet\, swampy ground and to ascend/descend a steep unpaved trail to access the marsh. \nTo sign up\, please send an email to Mael Glon indicating your preferred time slot and how many people will be in your party.
